The SJS Jazz Education Workshop (3 Days)

Open to student and community jazz ensembles of all ages and ability levels, this educational workshop and performance opportunity includes daytime adjudication sessions and evening performances. Our adjudicators for the inaugural SJS Jazz Education Workshop are two of North America’s most respected teachers and musicians: trombonist Wycliffe Gordon and bassist Rodney Whitaker. Both adjudicators will sit in with the participating ensembles on all three of the evening performances. The adjudicators will also play a 1hour professional set on Saturday with Saskatoon’s own Brett Balon-piano and Arlan Kopp-drums.
