Arturo Sandoval is crazy good at the trumpet. He makes sounds come out of his horn I didn’t know existed. Check out the video below, and catch him live at the Jazz Festival this Friday, June 20 at the Broadway Theatre.
Here’s a quick bio, pulled from the festival’s website:
A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Sandoval was born in Artemisa, a small town in the outskirts of Havana, Cuba. Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn’t take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world. He has since evolved into one of the world’s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet and flugelhorn. A taste of his professional credits include playing for millions at the Oscars performing with Celine Dion, at the Grammy Awards with Justin Timberlake and the Bilboard Awards with Alicia Keyes.
