The Jazz Festival gives local musicians of all shapes and sizes all kinds of opportunities to get on stage and strut their stuff. Here’s a list of local acts you should check out, playing all around town from the Bess Gardens to the Experience Downtown Free Stage.

The Pram Trio is a stylish, Toronto-based group of guys that are doing what so many young Canadian musicians aspire to: composing their own music and putting a hip, modern spin on jazz. This is the kind of jazz I’d bring my non-jazz friends to come listen to.
